I was suffering the loss of a loved one and didn’t know what to do. How am I supposed to live with the pain of this loss? Acupuncture acknowledged my broken heart, gave me hope, and helped me heal.
Later in life acupuncture advanced my spirituality and kept me healthy. Painful period? Acupuncture. Constipation? Acupuncture. Wishing other people would change so I don’t have to? ACUPUNCTURE.
After I get acupuncture, I can breathe. I can think. It helps me sleep and feel like myself again. Acupuncture gives me a deep sense of peace and a feeling of freedom.
Here are some of my most frequently asked questions about acupuncture.
You’re already doing all the things - you’re eating well, you’re exercising, you’re getting enough rest, you’re drinking enough water. Maybe you’ve even started a meditation practice. All the things you’re doing have enhanced your life more than you can describe and you feel really good. Think that’s it?
Adding acupuncture into your already healthy routine can help bring you to the next level. It’s hard to describe, but trust me, acupuncture changes everything.
Appointments available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Stress and anxiety are our body’s natural response to disharmony. When we feel these things, it means something is off. That something can be so many different things! And that is the first thing we will uncover together - WHY you are feeling stressed and anxious.
In some situations, stress and anxiety are a perfectly reasonable response to circumstances. Other times stress and anxiety feel disconnected from how fortunate we are and the incredible lives we live. In both cases, acupuncture can help.
Appointments available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Sleep is one of the most important functions of the body. Just as night follows day, our body is meant to rest deeply and completely every single day. When this process is interrupted, all of our body’s functions suffer. Exhaustion further complicates things by making even the simplest tasks feel impossible and the smallest discomfort unbearable.
There are many reasons for insomnia, whether it’s outside circumstances or an internal struggle. Fatigue can be a result of lack of sleep, or can come on its own when we get plenty of rest. In all these situations, acupuncture can help.
Appointments available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Trauma can come from one event, or a moment in time, or it can come from prolonged exposure to lots of events. What's traumatic to one person might not necessarily be traumatic to someone else. It has a lot to do with our individuality in the experience of the moment or moments.
When we’ve experienced trauma, whether it's shame, or physical pain, grief, loss, or something else, it brings up questions about life. How am I supposed to be happy? How am I supposed to keep going, if this is the way life works? If I have to feel this way, how can there be a God? How can there be something greater?
Acupuncture can help us answer these questions for ourselves.
Appointments available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Community Acupuncture is a great way to reduce the cost of treatment and experience the healing power of community. In this setting, multiple patients receive treatments in the same room, at the same time for a reduced fee. Groups range in size from 8 to 12 people, and needles are inserted in the ears to treat the whole body.
My community acupuncture sessions are different. First, we acknowledge that we are in the room together for a shared purpose. One-by-one, we each state our individual intentions for the session, a group intention is set, and participants receive a guided meditation for a one hour experience that relieves stress, anxiety, and pain.
In-person "Rest, Recover, & Renew: An Evening of Meditation and Self-Care" workshops often include community acupuncture. Check my upcoming events for details.
